Student Testimonials

FAST has been that program that always encouraged me to think out of the box, apply my knowledge in science in a physical form through projects, and finally allow me to investigate any passions, which I normally would never have done without my involvement in FAST.

Thank you for being an important part of my 4 year high school journey. I got to be a part of such a welcoming community, met so many wonderful people and friends, and got to learn about science and even myself along the process.

It completely put me on the career path I am right now, without my mentors influence and guide I would be much more lost.

FAST has truly given me the resources and support I needed to get to where I am now.  Without FAST, I would not have gotten into internships, and not have known what I would want to do post-graduation.  FAST paved this path of science for me and has made it clear to me that science is the way to go.

I chose to pursue Public Health because I learned through FAST the aspects of science I enjoyed (and didn't enjoy, which is also a good thing, in that I have a better idea of what I want to pursue). I also learned from FAST that I love to engage with the community, which is important in Public Health.

It allowed me to broaden my perspective on science and actually strengthen my interest in the STEM field. I learn to be more proactive and accepting toward failure. FAST really helped me grow as a person and gave me valuable lessons, friends and mentors.

Because of FAST I found my passion and area of study I want to pursue for the rest of my life.

Because of FAST, I've taken a bigger interest in science and I want to apply it into my medical career. The science projects teaches critical thinking and influences different approaches to answers.
